One of a kind evergreen vine or ground cover from Japan . Has multi-colored variegated foliage. New growth emerges in many tones of orange & red, than changes to splashed gold & then deep green- very dramatic.
Fairly slow growing trailing plant.
If used as a ground cover, has 6-12" height and 10'-15' spread. Space plants 5 ft. apart, (closer for faster coverage) Control weeds with mulch until the plants cover the area.
As a vine it has a more vigorous growth. It gets about 20' high
Tolerant of a variety of light conditions, once Asiatic jasmine is established, it only needs fertilization each spring with any basic fertilizer.
Good drought tolerance once established
Grows well in full sun, partial sun, shade
The flowers are creamy white and fragrant, appearing in late spring
